Hello everyone. My name is Brad Clarke and I have been a daily visitor to this board for the past five years, and have only now decided to register. This is mostly due to the fact that I don't have much Buick expertise, especially when compared to the gurus on this board. I am thirty years old and "born and bred" in Clarksburg (yes, a Clarke from Clarksburg). Being Canadian, you may notice that I spell some words a little differently than folks south of the border. For example, your "color" is spelled "colour" up here. Please don't hold that against me.
I have a 20-month-old son who absolutely rocks! He already knows that his die cast "hot rod" has a Holley carb, and repeats it anytime he is asked. A true gearhead in the making.
I have loved Buicks ever since I can remember, and my first car was a hand-me-down '78 Skylark with a 231 and a TH350. It was black with Crager clone rims that were installed by my dad before the car ever made it home. I remember that I hated that car be referred to as a Nova.
Currently I own a 1985 GMC Sierra Classic with a warmed over SBC and 3.73 posi that this summer ran a 15.09 quarter. To me, not bad for a 4300 lb brick. I am looking for 14s this year.
My ultimate dream car is a '70 GS Stage 1, preferably with a 4-speed and no air. I have loved the look of these cars since I first saw one in a magazine. My goal is to own one of these cars, or clone one and go have some fun.
As I said above, I have visited this board daily, and have learned a lot, and hope to learn more. (Sorry about the novel)

    Brad Clarke

We have not been around 4 or 5 years--- it just seems that way. We appreciate you joining in. A gentleman with a moth balled 70 4 speed stage 1 also just joined in today. So there is hope for your dream.

My mistake Jim, for whatever reason I typed "five," and meant to type "two." The time I've spent here reading all of the amazing posts is just mind-boggling.

    p.s.

    Thanks for the welcome.
