Had BiggestRed parked in East Hampton today and while the wife and I were sitting next to it on a bench having a salad an old guy about 80 ran into it trying to park.

I already took the header cap off and straightened it and buffed the paint off the bumper.

Now I need the rubber bumper cushion left side (don't know if L&R are interchangable).

Anyone have one in real nice shape?

I actually felt bad for this old fellow. He must have apologized 50 times.

He was driving a Lincoln Town car and tried to parallel park front end first instead of backing into the spot.

Go to a local GM dealership that has the capability to search all US GM dealer inventories for the part number I posted. I would then try a Canadian dealer search. If this fails, a good used one may be needed until NOS shows.

    Right on, Dan!!!!

Ron, the red paint on his car means he scraped along sheet metal on Biggest Red. What was the damage?

Yards, basically he scraped along that fender nose cone, enough to pull it away from the fender. Nothing other than the bumper cushion were damaged. They must have put alot of paint on the Duece. I'll try to buff the paint out.

Side note: Looked the guy up and he has an address in Manhattan and East Hampton.
Took a ride past his oceanfront (at least 20mill.) estate......................JEEEEEZZZZZ.

Probably shoot for a frame off resto on Biggest now, maybe even try the "Severe Trauma" card. LOL.
Buy me a Bentley Continental GT and the accident never happened !!!

talk about seniors. yesterday, at a carshow in Lasalle, On., i was watching an older gentleman, driving a later model lincoln mark? 2 dr, attempting to back into a parking space between two cars, that u could drive a tank thru. if it had not been for a fellow who happened to be near one of the bordering cars and yelled out "stop", this dowad would have clipped the front bumper of a 55 pontiac chieften. guess he never heard about sideview mirrors nor ever used them.

    This really sucks...................

Dan (Floydsbuick) so graciously packaged a bumper cushion in a priority mail package and sent it out to me last Tuesday 5/29 and it has not arrived yet.

It must be lost somehow because I don't think it would take over a week to get here. He and I varified my address and he had a return address on the box.

We don't get what we pay for with the postal service and this is intolerable. The good ole U.S.of A. is going to hell in a handbasket when they can't even provide safe postage !!! I'm pissed and so is Dan. :af:  :af:

Since USPS Priority has never failed me, I'm remaining hopeful it turns up. I didnt even track number it cause its been so reliable. The PO applies its own track number, but its for them and not customers.
