Loud whining from under car. Have you looked under the car to see if you ran over a liberal???? Seriously. Try jacking the rear of the car up and supporting with jack stands. Run the car in gear with someone standing next to it. This will help you determine the rough location of the source. Try accelerating, decelerating and also letting it coast. Try running the car in different gears to see if the noise is engine speed/tranny input speed related or tranny output speed/final drive (rear end) related.
why didnt I think of that I'll try this tonight if time permits .. and if I find the mother-in-law or the liberal I might just keep them there. :Brow:
