I tried to get the A/C delete panel from American grafiti, but never received it and now their website is suspended and phone disconnected.

Are there any other options to remove the A/C components from the firewall? Anybody have any solutions or options for me?

Thanks Matt. Tried to order from them and never did get anything from them but grief. I did get a delete panel from another member though.

I just did the same thing over the weekend on my 72 GS. It turned out to be a PITA. You have to remove the inner fender to get it done. The delete box doesn't fit tightly to the firewall so you need some sealer on the box. Mine had about a 1/4" gap by the blower motor. The bolt holes are not directly lined up where they are indented in the delete box. The blower motor mounting in the delete box is also off, plus you need to use speedy nuts to hold the blower in or the screws will fall out. I found out that cutting about 1/4" from the bottom right stud by the head that the box goes in a little easier. Plan about 8 or more hours to get it done. Hope this helps.

Oh great. That sounds like fun. What type of sealer did you use? I have some black silicone that I was going to use.

Good news for us is the engine and tranny are out, and the inner fender is out.

I just used black silicon sealer. If you have that much working room with the engine and trans out it should be a breeze. Good luck. I did repaint the box with satin black to match a little better then the gloss black the box came with.
