Im sealing the rear window in my 69 chevelle, I know this is the most criticle area to work in, beings it tends to rust out the winshield gutter, what type of window seal works the best for re-installing the rear winshield???

also should i chulk in the gutter???, and how would you do that with the clips that hold stainless trim on????

1 more question (i promise) would it be ideal to weld in a drain tube that would connect to the bottom back two corners of the window gutter, and drain through the trunk and out the wheel house on top of the tire????

i had my rear window replaced last fall with the two chemical glue that is used to install newer car windshields. the original install used butyl tape. do not fill the channel with caulk nor can u drill holes to drian the channel. u can coat the channel prior to window installation.

    Urethane sealer

Any local parts store will have a tube of Urethane window sealant for installing windows...
Had to seal my windshield(after it was installed with the butyl tape) with the Urethane because the schmucks that put the front and rear window in the car were ...
    Good Luck
