Ok last summer i put a newly re-built starter on my 70 30, it b/c that summer the enigne over heated the silnod and wouldnt start the car after i shut it down even after 5 mins, so All winter long anytime there was a good nice warm day here in west michigan i would start her up, sometimes i would have to jump the battery and then it would fire up no problem, today the one day i need this car to start more then ever due to moving it out of storage, it wouldnt fire up even with a jump nothing, i would turn the key and no clicking nothing, once i got the jumper cables off it the battery would slowly die, so i take the battery to the store i got it from and they say it is good just needs to be charged, they charge it up and i set back in and still nothing. all the lights come on. i dont know what to do,

i think it is the starter, if so, is there a bigger stronger starter then a re-built one.
i cant let this car sit i need to drive it soon before gas is to high, for my 8-10 miles per gallon

check your battery cables...heck with it....change em....its cheaper than getting a starter .....

then if its doing the same thing....make sure the battery is full and turn on your headlights ....then watch the headlights and see if they dim out completley while someone tries 2 start it...if they dim out completely ....you have a starter that draws 2 much juice.....time for a starter...

Howdy, Tug on the shifter maybe a bad/dirty neutral safety switch? I think stick shift cars had a switch on the clutch peddle, You had to push it into the floor board.
