Hello to all. This is my first post so I thought I would give you all some info to get to know me with. First off I'm a single white female, 17 and into S&.....oops wrong forum. Seriously, My name is Mark and I'm from Lawrence,Ks. I've been a GS owner since I was 17(70Stage1).That would be 1983. Currently own a 70 Stage1(not the same as my first one), an 87 Regal Turbo T and as my sig states, a never was 1970 Stage1 Apollo(formerly a Nova)under construction. Looking forward to visiting with all the other big block Buick appreciators on this board. Yes Mike(RACEBUICKS) you too. I've actually missed all the group from Topeka. So, if anyone has any questions of me or just wants to say hello, sit up, hit the keys and be friendly. :)

I unfortunately have very few good pics of my rides. I will post the ones I can dig up. I'm an unfortunate soul who doesn't have a digital camera yet so I still scan my photos to the computer and format them. I will send them as I dig 'em up. I will post a pic of my '70 Stage1 one. The quality isn't great but you can at least get a look see. I'll try and scan my Noble shootout pics as soon as they are developed. I ran my Turbo T down there and was party to the Ford thrashing. This shot of my GS was taken on my wedding day in 1999. My wife and I thumped out of the church in 11sec style.

BTW, Any credit for the killer Red paint on my car goes to Mike G.(RACEBUICKS) He did the body and paint in 1990 in his garage at home.

Here's my Turbo T. The car now has GNX flares and the front spoilers installed. I also painted the bumpers body color. The pic doesn't show it since it's sitting in a hole on one side, but it's also dropped 2.5 inches in front and 2 inches in back.

    Hi Mark -

    Welcome to the V8Buick board!

I run a Stage1 registry, trying to document the surviving cars. Is your GS a factory Stage1? If so, please consider registering it.

Information can be found on the stage1 registry website in my signature, or if you give me (PM/email) you phone # and a good time to call we can discuss any questions you may have.

Thanks, and again, welcome to the best V8 Buick website on the internet :TU:

Marco,I don't want to jack this thread, but I have a few things that I am planning on sending to you.I have quite a few new 73Stage 1 cars to add to your registry.Should be ready to send in a week or so.

Marco, sorry about the late reply. Yes it is a factory Stage1. Found the build sheet on top of the tank and all the right codes are there. I already knew it was as word of mouth history on the car could be traced back to when it was purchased new. However the build sheet got rid of that infinitesimal amount of worry I had lurking in the back of my mind.I will definitely register the car. what all do you need to make it happen?

    Thanks Mark -

Basically, I'm looking for the VIN, all cowl data plate information, and the options as they relate to the '1970 GS455 New Car Order Form' found on the registry website.

There is also an internet form you can fill out on the registry webpage.

Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

    Thanks again!

PS - You could also scan the buildsheet and e-mail it to me. :Brow:

    Mark,
Please post a picture of your Apollo when you can, I have a '74 and am always looking for others. I have not figured out how to post pic's yet, but I will. If you want to see a current picture of my '74 Apollo GSX, it is in this months issue of Popular Hot Rodding new magazine called Sportsman Drag Racing. The issue came as an extra insert with the PHR on the news stand. Page #36. I was first in the stageing lanes at the Pro Race. Not a real good pic. But I'll take a Buick pic any day over a chevy :Brow:
Wish they had caught the wheel stand shot off the line.

    Marv.

Apollo Racer. I really don't have much in the way of pics of the car. I have a few, but all you'll see is a '69 Nova getting minitubbed, since a Nova is what I started with. I hope to have her roadworthy in March. I'd rather let the "transformed" shots do the talking. A '70 Apollo might make a few guys scratch their heads I think.
