Sorry to here that George. I maybe thought Bob was back in business. He "lost" my perfect 70 rear core and found a "nice core" was junk and replated it. It sucked.
I love the VIN thing.

 

Always stamp anything you send off to a shop somewhere bumpers motors etc. Also take pictures of the stampings to document.
