Well here's a picture of one of my Dad's cars he had for 13 years (Oklahoma Body). He sold it last year, and the guy never picked it up. It still sits here, so right now i'm trying to get the guy to sell it back to me. What do you think ? This car has only one rust spot on it and it is under the vinyl top in the lower left corner of the back glass. I painted it 8 years ago and fell in love with it then. Needless to say i have a fullsize 70 LeSabre now.
Hey, I love it! That's weird that a guy would buy a car and never pick it up. I once had a guy leave a $100 deposit on a car and never come back to pick it up or pay the remainder... gotta love free money! Anyways, that '70 looks really sweet! I've always like the '70 LeSabres and Wildcats -- I hope you can buy it back!
This isn't the first time we had a fellow pay for a car and never pick it up. I sold a 70 Skylark Custom to a guy about 15 years ago and we sent it to the crusher just last month. We stripped it before sending it though. It was so rusted out that the rearend was sitting right on the ground. He never even stopped by once after he paid for it. We contacted his buddy who brought him here, but he never came back.
Did you ever sign over the paperwork on the car, if there is any? I would offer to give the same amount of money back to the guy and tell him take it or pay a storage fee and the "new higher 2004 price"
Doug yes there is paper work. No nothing was signed yet. I know what your saying but i'd like to buy it back , not piss him off. I talked to him today about it and he's going to think about it.
Today is a great day for me !!!!!!! ******He caved in, so i now own the Wildcat .******* I made the deal but lost my 70 custom in the transaction(posted in this forum). On the positive side i will still get to finish the 70 Custom . He wants it Black with Gold stripes with all the bells and whistles. Looks like i'll have to let my dad drive her again.
