No I don't believe we've met. My motor is the #s matching motor and I don't have a GTO,...... wouldn't mind having one though. Good place to meet fellow Buick guys and gals would be the weekly summer carshow in the walmart parking lot here in Covington every Friday. Have to admit for a smaller carshow, I have seen some extremely rare cars there. John. :TU:
John its not gonna be in Covington anymore Wally World didnt want a bunch of car guys in their lot anymore, came down from the corporate big shots. Friday night cruise ins will be in Renton at the Harley dealer starting in May. Also Don the Puyallup all Buick show is in June I will post more details later.
I bought a 455 from a guy in Covington. I drove his car before I swiped the motor. His name was John. Too funny. I'd be game to cruise convington. Im planning on the Puyallup show. My car is not show quality but still worth a look imo. I did not know Renton has a Harley dealership. Look out google! Anyone do the Return to Renton show? That one's pretty fun.
Yep, I do that one every year, do you? I had my 55 Century there this year, last year had a 69 Stage 1 convert. I try to bring something different each year. Did you see the special with the 455 that was there this year? Real nice car, the guy who built it for his dad is a member here. The Harley Davidson store is down on East Valley Road, right off of Highway 167 where the movie theater is.
Welcome from the other side of the state:laugh: And the spot tavern, after hours hangout from my days of working @ S. End Auto Wrecking...great pizza!:TU:
I've done it a few times. Dare I say here that it was in one of my chevys? Oddly I missed it three times after pre-registration due to a couple knee and shoulder surgeries. I think I'll do a drive up registration next time.p I have not seen the 455 special but look forward to it. Aaah yes, the Spot Tavern. I've closed the place up a time or two! Ok I know where the HD dealership is. It's right next to the other (name slips me) big motorcyle dealership. Can't wait to meet all of you locals.
Hey guy, you need to crop that picture to remove my 67 skylark I just bought from you. It was nice meeting you and glad we could make a deal. Now it is on to getting it off the trailer and into my shop so I can start on that trunk floor.
:TU: I hate that it's gone but it went to good people. Apparently you had a safe trip home. That young buck sure wrenched her tight. I can't imagine it moved any. It was also nice to meet you both. After you left a odd irony popped into my head. My new Special came from your region from the PO of the PO. I can't wait to see your progress pics!
Thanks Man! The Buick Skylark was from Washington and now resides in Oregon. The Special is from Oregon and lives in Washington now.
