Nice car dude!! Wish mine was that nice. It only had 42,000 on it when I bought it 2 years ago, but the bluehair I bought it from bumped into the garage wall on both sides and closed the garage door on the trunck lid while pulling in. Thanks Grandma!!

  3. this is a "white hair" also - only problem is that it was not been started in 4.5 years - sitting in a heated garage tho - plan on this week to drain oil and refill with oil and resoline and drain coolant and replace with water and chem flush - gonna pull the plugs and ignitor wire on coil and new battery with charger and crank her many times till i get oil pressure - then hook up the plugs and see what happens ..

u guys have any suggestions on 1/2 tank of 5 year old gas and a v6-4.1 with a q jet 4bbl ... i figure the fuel is junk and the q jet may be a bit gummed up - or u think it will start with a little coaxing? any comments and suggestions will be greatly accepted... i was thinking to pull the gas line at the pump and drain the tank - then run a hose to a gallon of fresh gas to get it running??? im in uncharted waters where ...

well this car has a tiny dent ( no paint damage or crease) in the right pass fender where granny hit the side of the garage door - i guess the keys were pulled that day and it was never driven again ...

sound like you have a good plan I would get it running then take the carb off and clean it out because chances are it is going to run like $hit but any way nice car I had a white 85 Turbo regal cant go wrong with white and crome enjoy

Maybe your granny was going blind like mine??

Anyway...I'll bet the fuel is junk, but I've run older stuff through my 81 F-250 woods hoopie (that junker will eat anything). You can clean the carb off with some spray can carb cleaner to free it up. Maybe shoot some inside to clean off some varnish. Run some clean fuel through it and everything should be fine. It'll probably cough and carry on a little but have faith. Change the oil and filter and have some fun. That car will be worth at least 80,000 miles before you blow up the v6. Then it'll be time to have some fun!!

  6. 80,000 it will never see it ... in 4 years it will be antiqued plated in PA - which means no sniffer test - then it gets a 400+HP motor - a th400 and some 3.73 posi and well maybe a 100 shot of the juice ... hehehe untill then ill be floggin the 120hp v-6 for all its worth!!

  8. have a 1973 Pontiac Sport Coupe Lemans Sport Coupe Will have room for one more car - and thats gonna be a mid 80's monte carlo SS. My main passion is the GM A-Bodies but finding parts for those cars are impossible - Been doing research on Buick parts and seems like alot is still out there are repro parts are there too. Last week on Ebay a set of rear 1/4's for the lemans went for 910.00 each and last year 2 front fenders went for 1400.00 a set .. I have over 500.00 just in wheel opening moldings for the lemans...

Hope the buick stuff stays around over the years...

    Where you at in PA??

Don't totally blow the V6 to hell and back!! The crank is worth something. Its the same one that's used on the Turbo Regals, down to the casting number.

455's are pretty easily swapped into the Regals. There's a sticky thread about them at the top of the page. 350's are real easy. The hardest thing with them is cutting the fan shroud straight. The Buick 350 is comming around power wise. Look over in the small block section under "time for a little tease". You'll then get to read about the genesis of a 1000+hp 350.

BTW...I have a 4.1L intake on my 3.8L V6. I put a 73 Pontiac Quadrajet on and actually gained power while keeping the same fuel mileage. The car is registered in Clarion County, so the sniffer police aren't after me yet.

  10. i am in allison park - just north of pittsburgh on rt8 - 20 mins south of butler.. im sure i will pull then engine and tranny and store it - still have all the original parts off the pontiac 350 - i usually make the car show at the meadville fair grounds in august - maybe see you there -

    Where at in Allison Park??

I'm off of Elfinwild Rd. Don Eggers lives a block away. Phil and Pat Dayen and some guy in a red 70 GS convertible (never met him) live in Gibsonia. There's a few others that live less than 20 miles away. Didn't you know you're in Buick country.

  12. also off of elfinwild road - i live between the big radio tower and burchfield school

Wow, just accross the valley from us......At least Joe still lives here at Illinois Drive. I live in Youngstown and grew up in Shaler, a block from Don Eggers. If your looking for Regals near by. We've got 'em. I've got 3, Joe has 1, and Eggs has an 83 T-type race car with a baby 430. I'm in the middle of a 455 project with my 86 Regal...........the car is in a dark room in an old steel mill in Youngstown.......makes for great undercover work!! So how the heck did you get that car without us even knowing about it??? Although Eggs has claimed to have an eye on it. :Brow:

    Just a stone's throw away.

Where did you find that Regal? We're pretty good about keeping track of the local Buicks, and I'm surprised we didn't know about that one.
