On the note of not by the best citizens. I hate when those kinds of people would ask me what's under the hood. I would say a v6. What's it to them

Like a couple others on here I made the same mistake once on a car I got offered twice what I thought it was worth ,jumped at the cash. and yes have always kinda regretted it.
Now I just say not for sale and stick with it, unless it really is

I'm glad to hear you guys say that (not glad you have regret, but just that you're offering that advice). I did get what I think was a legitimate offer on the white car one time and almost considered it as it was a relatively large sum. Called my wife because at that time we had a baby on the way and the spare cash wouldnt hurt, and she shot that down without hesitation or prejudice. Guess sometimes they know more about these cars than we think!

You gotta find a white 68 in the same condition and sell Heather on the idea. Do that and we'll talk!!! (She made it clear I don't get a say, it's her car... :rolleyes:o_O ) But considering she turned down that offer, and I'd feel bad selling it to you at what he offered, I doubt she'd even entertain it!

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

As many of you know, I have a '69 Z/28RS. I've owned it since '73 and used to drive it all summer. Then I had nothing but bad luck with it. Long stories. After two bad experiences with supposed 'reliable painter/bodymen, I stashed it under a cover in the far corner of the building I had at one of our rentals. When we sold the rental, I brought it to our home shop and stashed it again. Only my friends know about it because whenever it gets mentioned that I have it to someone else, the next thing is that I get pestered to sell it. I tell them "No, end of discussion, please."
It is now out of the corner and getting ready to go to a painter. Still keep it covered.
