Hello, everyone! I just joined your fine group, & was wondering if anyone could possibly help me decode my recently purchased 1964 Wildcat's cowl tag & "protecto-plate" info -it's a really cool 425 dual quad /4 speed /posi car-I haven't yet found any books on decoding these old buicks,& perhaps, one of you know how to do this. Thanks, & sorry if this is an already answered "redundant" question answered elsewhere in a thread that I overlooked.

Yes that something done here all the time. Sometimes the accessory codes can be tough but the rest is easy. Could you repost the cowl tag info in the Section entitled " The Paper Tral" which is the proper section? Spacing can be important so a good pic of the cowl tag is best.

By the way, that is one VERY COOL CAR you have!!!! :TU: :TU:

And Jim's right post a pic of your cowl tag and your protecto-plate over in the Papertrail section. While you're at it, post pics of your car over in the member's ride section so we can all enjoy it!

Pics have to be resized to be posted directly or you can link them if you have them hosted elsewhere like photobucket, etc. If you need help on resizing, send your pics to kenlisk@optonline.net and I'll resize and send them back to you.

    Welcome to the board! :)

What's your first name and where are you from??

Hi, & thanks to all for the input & kind words! Sorry for the delay in responding-I've had a busy weekend,& didn't log in untill late Sunday -also, please pardon my inexperience with this venue, but I'll attempt to post said info [text only] in the "paper trails" section refered to-sadly,photos will have to wait due to some computer issues. BTW,I'm from the Chicago area -be well, Chuck.
