My oil pressure gauge is pegged at 2500, what color spring is needed to get the right pressure? My engine is a 430 that been rebuilt with 30 over

My experience is you have to experiment, all applications / engines are different. Do you run the HV pump and regulator from TA, if not it’s highly recommended and very adjustable. Call Mike T. At TA Performance and tell him I sent ya.

You need a mechanical gauge with readings. No other way

What timing cover do you have?

You talking the factory gauge is pegged?

I think he means that, which means 60 psi, but the gauge is horribly unreliable.
That’s why I installed a second gauge on my 67 Riviera

There are 60 psi and 80 psi senders. If you have a 60 psi sender, it will peg the stock gauge when the engine is cold. That is normal. You need a REAL oil pressure gauge to determine your actual oil pressures though. Fully warmed up, you'll want at least 60 psi at RPM at or over 5000.
