So Im cleaning the shelves of parts I dont see me using in the near future. This time the victim is a Holley 4777 carb. Came off of a running engine (albeit a pretty dirty one), but definitely needs rebuilt. Im asking $75 shipped to the lower 48. Thanks!
Am I way off base here or does nobody have a use for this??o No: Shoot me an offer if theres any interest, its just collecting dust! Oh yeah, and TTT....
mmmmm - thinkin . #1 with a couple questions i guess . sounds like kinda cruddy but complete ? no bad threads , cracks or major dings ? hopefully no mods ? and no rush on the info . friend runs a budget antique stock car and likes these sometimes . thanks . del
Del, "Cruddy but complete" pretty much sums it up. I didnt see any mods with the naked eye, but as far as jetting and such I have no idea. It was on a buick engine I purchased and I went another direction so I never reused it. All I can say is the engine did start and run with it installed. I didnt notice any cracks or bad threads, but let me go over it a little closer tomorrow (outta town tonight) to confirm that, just to be safe as I dont want to sell anybody a paperweight.
Hahaha!! Sorry I didnt get back with you sooner Del, crazy weekend. Anyways, I'll go over it good tonight and snap a few more pictures for ya:TU:
Here's a few more pics for ya Del. I couldnt find any cracks (actually other than being dirty, I was a little surprised how "not beat up" it really was) and all the threads I checked were perfect. There is a little surface rust on some of the linkage brackets and the tops of the butterflies, but nothin freakish. Let me know if there is something specific you want to see, I want to make sure you know what your getting.:beer
I'll get to be third in line if it gets to me. It doesn't look too crudy to me! I'm in no rush either. Brian
