Hi All I need to do a tune up on my 455. I will be using Larry's timing info to dial in the timing and distributor. Can anyone give me some tips on setting up and dialing in my 850 Holley? It starts easily and runs good, it is just time to redial everything. Has someone posted anything on the board about this already? Thanks
First, set it up just like holley says to and then it will perform the best. Then just sit back and enjoy it.
Agreed. Just adjust idle mix screws for best idle quality. Some like to use a vacuum gage to try & obtain the highest reading. Unless you're having trouble fouling spark plugs or trying to eek out the last tenth in the 1/4 mile, I wouldn't mess with jetting if it's running well. What are you trying to get out of it? Devon
Thanks for the input. Like I said it is doing fine at the moment. I need to work on the timing and thought I would tweek up the carb while I am at it.
