I've been wanting to go EFI since I got by 63 Riviera with a 401 Nailhead but the systems out there are really expensive. Holley have released an affordable kit that I think will work out nicely.

    Check it out: https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_injection/sniper_efi/

I'm not sure if it will work with my 2 speed Dynaflow tranny though.

release date pushed back till Sept 15th.

I'm no expert on Nailhead's but will a holley Square bore bolt on to the Nailhead intake ? I thought Edlebrock's were the direct replacement

Fitech is the market entrant for sub $1000 TBI FI. A few on here are already running them

Ive had my eye on the FiTech Dual Quad setup for a while now...

Im new to EFI, and will be following this thread closely.

Any input, I'm sure is greatly appreciated! All I can contribute its that the Fitech unit looks promising, and at the moment, i will probably top my 401 with the dual quad setup unless this thread leads me on to something better!

The Sniper looks like it's double drilled - the same as the Edelbrock. There's tons of originally AFB- equipped cars out there; I can't believe that they wouldn't go after that market. I'd love to have EFI on my Buchev. I have asked to be put on Holley's e-mail list.

    Guys

I know they are not cheap but we have had much success with the Fast EFI.

I'll have to check out FiTech. For now I'll subscibe to Holley's e-mail list. Thanks for all the replies. I wasn't sure if this thread would get any traction. It's nice to know others are interested!

Any forum thread about the FiTech on a Nailhead?

Don't know why you would pay more for the Holley over FiTech. I think there screen is better but who really knows so far.

Here are the issues I have found with my Fitech. Lack of a complete manual. Too much searching around to find all the features. It's almost like looking for easter eggs in a computer game. It is a little tricky to adapt throttle for 200-4r. The Throttle arm is not a perfect copy of a Holley.

Otherwise the FiTech has been great. There is speculation that the Holley unit is being built by FiTech, have no idea if this is true.

Good luck if you go with the dual carb setup. We spent 2 years trying to get that to work. Finally gave up and dropped an old 850 Holley on the 401 and it worked great.

Well,, John ,,,, low and drive.... and if you count passing gear , that makes it 3 speed....
EFI is somewhat interesting to me.... naturally I would go with a holley unit over anybody else...
I wondered how it would work with my Doc dual plane set up.... I have already made the adapter... and set up the air cleaner and linkage.... I wonder if it would get better than 17 mpg.....:idea2:

1963 was the only year the Riviera used the Twin Turbine Dynaflow automatic transmission, which dated back to 1948
