Does anyone see the similarities between the Bush 1 and Bush 2 presidencies?

    1. Middle Eastern war :blast:

    2. High oil prices :Dou:

    3. No jobs/loss of jobs

I knew this was coming. Just think of how hard this will be on the elderly and the poor.

The folks who run this country do not care - different priorities.

Add this to no health care and you will understand why half of the people here are hurting.

Rich folks are immune to this stuff. George Dubya is not impacted on any level.

    Alan,
Wow, and I thought I got ripped off at $2.189 a gallon. :af:
Just sent them off over $2800 for the coming year. Looks like my money for Salem just went up in smoke (literally out the chimney).
Looks like my $10 a week salary increase won't cover it. :af: :af:

you guys would hate to hear what my company is paying right now for there generator fuel.it's about 1.72 but we buy quite a bit but still goes to show there still making money at a 1.72 .Alan the only thing i could suggest would to get as many people together that use fuel oil and go to a broker with your numbers and try to get a better deal.

Well.....I will say that this price does include a service contract covering both the burner as well as the tank.

My friend just buys oil from whoever is cheapest when he needs it (no contract) and he last paid 2.19 /gal so I dont feel so bad being "Betsy" is the original 80 yr. old burner (with new guts though yielding ~ 87% efficiency).

Three of the Companies we asked prices from said they WOULD NOT lock in set rates for a year until the end of the summer - I Figured they're waiting for the prices to go up even further before they let their customers renew and lock in.......So I figured I didn't do too bad locking in now.

....it'll be interesting to see what it is at the end of the summer.

Bruce - Whats a Gas Well ??? Does it pump Cam2 also ?? :Brow: :Brow: :3gears:

Paying 2.199 on the budget plan here, $124/month for 12 months. Got a 550 gal tank that is about 3/4 full and bought another 700 gal. Hope its enough.

I converted to gas from oil heat about 12 years ago. It used to be that gas was the cheapest way to heat. My gas bill has gone through the roof! Now we are thinking of moving and found a house with electric heat........that used to be considered to be too expensive.......if we get the house, I think I'll keep the electric heat for a while and see if it actually ends up being cheaper.

My bet is that anything that ends up costing less, it won't be long until they figure that out and raise the price accordingly. :af:

I just got a contract price for the year for $2.16 gal. They got you by the ba..s because they (oil co's here) have insurance to cover your oil tank incase of leaking, so in order to get the insurance, you have to buy the oil from them, plus they charge $125.00 a year for the insurance.... :af:

If you guys want to go the cheap route find a diesel filling station where they sell diesel refer fuel. They use it for running the refrigerated units on trailers. It's the same as heating oil and it'll probably say so on the pump. Down in PA it's 1.99/gallon. Just get a pickup w/trailer and 20 55-gallon drums and you'll be good to go. It's not taxed, so it's alittle cheaper.
