I have been noticing that the left ( drivers) side intake foam on my 72 GS does not appear to be fitting flush against the seal plate. I have a 72 and have the correct 72 hood grill and seal plate for the left side. The right side of the foam ( facing the engine with hood up) is not compressed and sticks up above the rest of the mating surface. Would appear that it is actually missing the seal plate and going up into the opening under the intake grill. The orientation of the seal plate appears correct, though a picture of one from a 72 would help prove that). Is it possible that the grill is backwards , moving the seal plate over to the left too far? Does anyone have a photo to share? Thanks, Steve
