The hood tach I have is not working. I just removed it from the car yesterday. I hooked up another tach to the wire and it worked, so I know the wiring is ok. The lights also work as well, so I know its not the ground. It is in very good condition. Any hints on what to do. I wondered if it was an original one, but there is no GM # on it. Should I have this repaired or just buy a new repo. o No: What repro to buy??? Heard some bad things about some. :blast: Thanks, Jeff
Mine has worked when it wants to for years. I have checked the wiring and connections. All seems well. Sometimes it will work for as little as one short trip to town and sometimes it will work for a whole summer. I also have a reproduction tach that does the same exact thing and since I leave it in drive I don't worry much about it. It is always backlit but sometimes the needle just stays on 0. o No:
