    How much horsepower can i get out of a v8-300 and how can i do it?

    you can increase hp on any engine, 3 ways , more compression, more air, higher rpm. using the same stuff they are doing on the big blocks such as porting intake/heads/exhaust, bigger cams, bigger valves, flat top pistons. the new v8's out of detroit are less than 300 cu. in. and are making awsome. it's all about making the engine efficient, it's going to take a lot of grinding and researching to bring your motor up to todays levels but if you are stubborn i believe you can turn the tables in your favor. good luck
