 You got your musical styles mixed up. Dick Dale is hot rod music. 50 Cent may be what you might like to listen to while driving a hot rod, but he don't sing hot rod music. If you don't know who Dick Dale is.... :TU:
Highway Star I have to go with Highway Star by Deep Purple as a great song about driving your car.Of course i can listen to most anything while driving. Chris-I notice you listed Black sabbath-I'm no spring chicken but i dug out Heaven & Hell and Sabatoge the other day & listened.Man,i forgot how great some of those songs were! Children of The Sea-Heaven & Hell-Lonely is the Word-Symptoms Of The Universe-The Thrill Of It All-Megalomania-The Writ, all totally awesome! I just ordered Technical Ecstacy on CD-have all the old Sabbath on vinyl, but my record player is kaput! :bglasses:
I gotta go with Chris on this one. Dick Dale is "Da Man!". I'm going to see him in Asbury Park on May 22nd... :TU:
Well, for me, to get pumped when in the GS. I'll throw on Metallica's "Master of Puppets". The title track is a happy little song.
stevie ray vaughan, also anything by metallica (black album), and also survival of the sickest saliva! :TU:
Newer Music I listen too while "Hot Rodding" Rancid Any Reverend Horton Heat. Headstones Danko Jones. "Hot Rod" Music I would want to hear at a show and shine. Lowrider Radar Love Johnny Rivers- Maybelline and Memphis Beach Boys The Box Tops -Gotta See Jane The Rivieras - California Sun Little Old Lady from Pasedena. La Grange The B52-s Planet Claire Dion and the Belmonts Booker T Green Onions or Time is Tight Ventures Walk don't run.
Any rockabilly or psychobilly. The Mutilators would get my vote. Mule Skinner Blues is an awesome song.
