Bryan-College Station is actually closer to Austin than Houston. Frank Brooks & Jarrod Campbell are planning on making the trip.
If I have the 'Lark I want to get now..I would totally drive up there...seeing as I am off of work that day!! (Even if I wasn't I'd call in. Haha!) Hope everything goes well! And post pictures of what Austin has!
The weather turned rainy & cold today, but still had a good time. We (Myself, Steve Campbell, Chris Adams, Tim Adams, George Winterburn, Frank Brooks) followed the Austin County Cruisers up from Houston. My son Ryan was coming up later, but blew a head gasket on his GN & had to turn around, -- I don`t know how he did that just "cruisin" up there with J.D. Brooks & Tim Wendeberg ?????? lol. Will Wheeler was there. E.J. Howe was coming in his BBB powered Regal, but turned around when the rain started. Drag radials don`t do good in rain. Ron Norquist came on up. The Austin Buicks gang made the trip, enjoyed seeing them & eating a great burger @ the Chicken Oil Co. Todd Kay was there, he lives in Bryan. Approx 300 plus vehicles showed up despite the weather. Dan should have pictures on www.houstonbuick.org soon.
For those of you who did not go, You missed a great event. I think my teeth are still chattering however.
You guys aren't joking about the temp that day! I unwittingly showed up in a t-shirt, but a little 44 degree cold, windy weather isn't gonna stop me from checking out 100's of beautiful cars. :TU: It was a great showing and the burgers at the Chicken Oil Co. were everything I'd heard and more. :beer
