Houston Buick Club will be going on "Lucky`s Rod Run" this Sunday, January 6th. to Bryan, Texas. This event has been going on for more than 15 years. We will meet the Austin County Cruisers from Bellville at the EXXON Station on 290 & 1488. We will pull out at 7:45 am sharp!. Its early, but need to get good parking spots. Approx. 300-400 cars show up, last year several cars had to park on the side of the road in the dirt. We will go out 290 to Hwy 6, turn right, go into Bryan to the "Chicken Oil Co." (it`s a hamburger joint, great burgers!). Come on out to the 1st. HBC event of 2008. HAPPY NEW YEAR.:beer

Robert, I think that Chris will be coming in his GS. My GS is still in parts. I will show up in one of my Camaro's.

Robert, do I understand correctly that you will be pulling out of the Exxon station in Prairie View at 7:45? Or are you leaving from another location IN Houston at 7:45?

WE will be leaving the Exxon station @ 290 & 1488 at 7:45. That should be near where you & Chris live. The main convoy of Lucky`s Rod Run is leaving the Kroger store in Conroe on 105 at 9:00. That`s why we leave earlier to beat the main crowd for a good parking spot. This thing has really gotten big. It is put on by the Houston Mopar Club.

For those of you that don`t want to leave early & come later here is the address for the Chicken Oil Co. 3600 S. College Ave. Bryan, Texas 77801. Go to mapquest for directions or "Google" Chicken Oil Co. for more information. See you all this Sunday AM. You may not find a parking spot if you come too late.:eek2:

Had a great time, nice drive up. Over 500 vehicles showed up. Tim Adams drove his '71 Z28 (his GS is still in the shop) but he did wear his GS shirt. Chris Adams brought his '71 GS convert. Will Wheeler, wife, & son brought '72 GS clone, I drove my '86 T Type. Todd Kay had his '87 GN. Saw a really nice '57 Century. Met a couple from Austin with a nice '61 Skylark convert. Told them about the Austin Buick Club. I emailed Dan the pictures:kodak: I took. He will have them posted soon on the Houston Buick Club website. Go to: You Tube, click on "luckys run" to see a video shot by the "Brazos Valley Street Beast" car club. Todd Kay doing a burnout :3gears: in his GN.
