I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up (have'nt been on the board in awhile) but what about having name tags on Sat. for the car show. Maybe it's a little corny but I thought it might be a good icebreaker for those of us who have never met before. We could put our names and our boardnames on the tag. Is there going to be a meet and great? Heard something about a BBQ. Fill me in guys.
Todd - The BBQ thing sounds like a good possibility, but it isn't nailed down yet. The name tag things with both your name and your board user-name is a great idea. My wife, Beth, is the BPG secretary, and I'm sure that when the registration info gets put together and sent out, there will be the "name tag" info in there. C'mon, August!:bglasses:
Todd, The name tag dealy is one thing I have brought up in the directors forum on the other site. Given that Smittydog is our "ace in the hole" for office products, I will guarantee this will be part of your package. Brad
Definately a great idea. At the Buick 100 year Anniversay at Flint, we all had our names on our entry passes we wore. One funny note was my son, Jimmy saw Doug Hecker's tag just said "DOUG". He remarked, "How come Doug doesn't have his last name on his tag?" Roberta Vasilow was there and she remarked, "Because it's Doug, everyone knows Doug". And knowing Doug also, my son understood. that woulda been great if i wasn't blind lol.. i met joe taubitz after denny's speech, and apparently doug and rick were there.. but i vaguely remember anyone but joe because he was the one i was there to see.. i'd love to meet a bunch of you guys though.. could be fun
