I am starting some bodywork on my 69 Cutlass and I am trying to do it as inexpensively as possible. I am going to use a napa crossfire base with RM clear which i have done before with great results at a fraction of what an all RM paint job would be but I am thinking primer right now. Normally i would use a USC primer, but thats almost 100 per gallon and I am figuring 3 gallons to get it done. There was an inexpensive Transtar primer at the paint store today for about 45 bucks. Any experience with the Transtar primers? Thanks Bob
