I'm having a problem saving pictures from the BB. Normally, I right click on the picture, click on save picture as, and click save. When I do that, it saves the picture as an art file, and I can't seem to open it up, or repost it. Is there someway to convert it to a jpeg?
Larry, What pics you want to save?? I have the kodak Easyshare program that came with my digital camera and I can change them there.I noticed it when I tried earlier today it did the same.I can open and save them and put them on my desktop. If you want something let me know,I'll help you out.
Thanks Pat, In Sparky's Corner, there is a thread "Generator Light" In it, he posted 3 pictures, but only the 1st one is clear. The 3 pictures are on one post, so they are only listed. RA Barrett replied that he couldn't bring the picture up, so I wanted to repost it, so that he could see it without clicking on the original. See if you can save that 1st "Motor4" pic
Larry, Maybe you received a file and couldn't open it with your usual program, so the computer asked you to choose a program to open this file ? Maybe the little square with ALWAYS USE THIS PROGRAM TO OPEN FILES LIKE THIS (or words like this, my computer is in Dutch) was ticked (under this message about choosing a program) ? That way the computer will store everything with this selected program, that maybe doesn't open a JPEG or JEG photo ? Just guessing here.... :Smarty:
Thanks Erik, I don't have any problem saving other pictures. Just from V8. Can't figure it out. It saves as an ART file. I can open it up, and view it, but I can't post it, V8 won't accept it. It has to be converted to a format that V8 accepts.
Larry, What does it say in the lower field that you see, when saving a photo from the board ? SAVE AS TYPE (or words like that, I have Dutch Windows) And which other option do you have to file the photo in ?
Save as type- ART (*.art) I used the drop down box, the only other choice is Bitmap, but even if I select that, it still saves it as an ART file. I have Windows 98, would that have something to do with it? Irfanview won't open open an ART file, neither will Photoshop. I thought I could use those to convert it, but I can't, if it won't open. Maybe Wiz-Bang Bucy would know??
Larry, Click on START in the lower left corner, click on the section above the looking glass (probably saying SEARCH behind the looking glass ?) could be that it says SETTINGS or CONTROLS in the English version, click on SOFT WARE and check if there is a file in that list with that ART business in it. Remove that from your computer.
