Here came across this one for you guys. I still find it funny that the guy took it and then gave it to me. Talk about putting yourself out there. If I didn't have a good sense of humor I could of ripped his head off.
So...........???? What exactly did you tell this dude? Thanks for the picture?? Or did he say he wanted to know what hides Rod was using on his car? Here is something that might make you laugh. My freinds wife (who will remain anonymous) is in pure admiration beyond all belief of Rod and you. "Here comes Kevin Bacon with his beautiful girlfreind, the cute dog, and the superfast car, it looks so good now that it is silver" I laugh my a$$ off. I think the funniest part is Rod is always referred to as "Kevin Bacon" by her.
You can't leave me :ball: It would be way easier for Gary and his pooch to move here. If you moved I would have to convince Rod to move me, then Tom & Jenny would want to come, and we couldn't leave Old Man River behind, who would take care of him,then we have Brian,,, it would just be a down hill effect,,, Gary move here!!
Well, he pulled us aside walking through venders row and said he had something for us. Thinking in silent I bet he has the "Greatest wax ever, your car will pick up 2 tenths just by applying 50 coats!!" Well the guy ended up being a photo guy and he had a bunch of black and white pics of the car. I asked him if I could buy them and he said since he liked the car so much he would give us two for free. Well heck yeah, free always works, right. So he gets out a folder and makes a comment on how Rod could never say his woman never helps on the car and hands me a pic. It was the same pic from above only from the side. I laughed, thought it was a cool pic. Then he handed me the one from the rear, I laughed even harder. I even made a comment about him giving them to me. He doesn't know me I could of been really mad that he took them and then showed them to me. He said he couldn't publish them without my ok, so he figured he would give them to me. They now hang in the garage next to all the other girly posters I've gotten Rod. He's a butt man so they match the rest of the decor. I'll have to let Kevin Bacon know he has another fan. He doesn't find it as funny as the rest of us, which makes it so much funnier. Once he had all the Hooter girls pointing at him because our waitress thought he did and he said he didn't. So she got all the other girls opinions. When we left a few yelled "Bye Kevin" It was too funny. So, does anyone got big plans for this weekend. Any dates or going where you could get hooked up with someone? Lets not get to off track in this thread.
Since I'm sitting here on the couch with the flu, I'm delving into the latest rage...internet dating.... :Brow: :Brow: I might as well put this laptop to some good use, right? I've heard it's the "en vogue" way to meet people.... Much better than a loud bar room....
You know I've never done internet dating, I'm not single so I don't have the need. But Rod and I were talking about it the other day. It seems to work for alot of people. You can have more time to talk to a person and really get to know them. In a bar you can get the wrong impression or don't get quality get to know each other talk in. I wouldn't be against trying it if it came to that.

I've done it a few times and have met some decent people....and some NOT so decent people. Sometimes things aren't always what they seem, if you catch my drift... Simply put, a lot of people are not too forthcoming when it comes to describing themselves. Shoot, a lot of times, the pictures they post aren't even them! It's also a haven for people who feel compelled to cheat on their spouses or significant others. You really have to "weed out" the phonies before settling on someone you're compatible with.... The first time I did it a couple years ago, I had been out with a woman who neglected to tell me she was married...until it slipped out at dinner one night.. ou:
BIG PLANS THIS WEEKEND!! Former punk band mate from college getting married. Open bar.......lots of friends, former band members, exgirlfriends, & girls yet to date from the old school to show. Ofcourse I'd have a good time if it was just me and :beer :grin:
Yeah, I guess it has some major down falls too. Even in a bar or anywhere really your going to run into a person that isn't going to tell you the whole truth, married or not, a chick who is really a guy or vice versa. Thats what some people get their kicks off of. It's a shame others get hurt. I have to admit the pics I've posted are not really me, I took them off the internet. I figure no one will ever see me.
Wow.....! Just read through this thread for the first time (should be working!)......you guys have me LMAO! Danie, you crack me up.....and just another one for the record, my wife Beth (BPG Secretary) was sitting at the BPG tent most of the time in Salem, but she saw you and Rod working on the car next to the concession stand and mentioned the "Kevin factor" as well! Keep it coming folks.......been married almost 30 years now, and forgot a lot of this stuff! :laugh: :beer PS. my advice to ANYONE, guy or girl, is that you should not (cannot!) depend upon someone else totally for your happiness......someone will be be disappointed, or someone will feel smothered, or perhaps a little of both. Find a way to be happy/content with yourself, and by yourself sometimes......I think the happiest folks I know share a lot of things together, and also have outside individual interests, hobbies, etc.
