Hi, I was wondering how much power you could get out of 400 if you left it stock and ported the heads.Could you also port the exhaust manifolds and intake manifolds?o No: If so, how much power would that add. Thanks, Dan
Greg Gessler is the man to send your exhaust manifolds to. If you want to have the heads and intake ported by someone, I'd recommend Greg again, or Jim Weise at Tri Shield Performance. And all 3 of those things will really pump up you power. 400+HP is attainable with those mods, a cam and 2 1/2" exhaust. 455 Stage1 heads won't do you any good because the smaller bore in the 400 leaves the valves shrouded along the cylinder walls. But a good 400 head port job will wake it up!
