    Hey guys,

While cleaning out my closet, i found a little discovery i forgot i even had. When I bought my 67, the guy threw a bunch of other stuff in the trunk, including an original 67 GS console, with the buick tach. I never got around to putting it in my car, since my B&M shifter wouldnt fit. Well, i cleaned it up and its looking real nice, but I have no idea what sort of price i should be looking at to sell it. The tach works, is in great shape, the console is in pretty decent condition, theres some pitting to the chrome, and the back panel has a crack and a peice broken off. I would imagine these tachs are kinda rare, but i have no idea what a fair market price would be. anyone have any suggestions?

As bad as I wanted to make you a lowball offer... I just can't do that to you.
That tach alone is probably worth a couple hundred easy.
Maybe as much as $300+ to the right person on eBay. The console might be another hundred or two.
    :Do No:

I think I have 4 consoles, none with tachs...... and I've been looking for one of those tachs for my ragtop for quite awhile, but refuse to spend the kind of money those things tend to bring in. :(

Of course, everything I just typed is subject to change if/when pictures are provided. One mans "nice" is another mans "junk".... and one mans "junk" is another mans "great".

Rick, thanks for the honesty. I was halfway sure the tachs were goin for pretty good prices, but i wanted to make sure i wasnt totally outta line with what i had in the back of my head. I'm gonna disassemble the console, polish up all the chrome, clean the plastic, etc. etc. and probably throw it up on the board for sale, or maybe on e-bay. When I' do, i'll be sure to let you know in case the price ends up being in your range. Thanks again!

A 6000 RPM tach just finished on ebay a week + ago for something in the 160. range. I sold a 7000 RPM one a year ago for something like 350.00 They can be found and bought for under 200.00 when the moon and stars are in perfect alignment (coincides with me being broke by the way) I'll keep an eye out for ya Rick!
