Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone has ever had to adjust their skirts to get them to fit right on their car. I have been having a little trouble with mine sitting to far forward and having the back door scrape the front of the skirt.?. Also when yo insert them into the holders, on the car, I have to press the top of the skirt a bit to get it to go up against the car like I have to bend it..This oviously tweaks the skirt and brackets a bit..Anyone have any pointers on what I can do..I just painted these skirts and I hate to bang and bend these up before I even get them on the car. I should of fit first before paint. Lesson learned..Thanks for the help..
Have you played around with the position of those lower brackets at all? When I had my Electra and replaced the skirts with a better pair from the junkyard, the brackets needed to be adjusted so they would fit correctly. If it is tight at the top, I would think if you brought the lower brackets out towards the side of the car a little it may help it at the top. Since there really isn't any adjustment at the top I think that is worth a try.
