   have Q,when you paint the pully 1(do you prime the groove?) 2(do I have to paint inside the groove or just sand it and cover it &paint the rest) . Thanks for your input guys,it is fan pully by the way

   don't worry about masking it off. Just paint it, and whatever gets in the groove will rub off fairly quickly when it is run with a belt.
