Just today I recieved what I believe to be a build sheet from a 1971 Buick Riviera. That Riviera's birthday is tomorrow, 34 years ago tomorrow it rolled of the assembly plant in Flint, MI. Anyways since it is old I would like to protect it and keep it from further falling apart. What have you guys done? I was thinking about laminating but am worried the guy would screw it up bad! I will post a picture of it tomorrow. Thanks in Advance!
use a page protector and staple the opening shut, then place in the middle of a large book that you dont use alot (like an encylopedia) that will keep it in relatively good condition, nice and wrinkle free. p.s i wouldnt laminate it, kinda sketchy
I used clear contact paper and left a bit of an edge around it. Looks laminated but no heat involved.
Take the build sheet to an office supply center and have a professional color copy made. Then store your original in an acid free page protector. Dave
I did a color scan and printed it, looks like the real thing. Did the same thing with the original order sheet, receipt, etc.
Stores that sell scrapbooking and archival materials have some great acid-free/archival safe products that are ideal for keeping your build sheet in as good of shape as you found it. Here is a sample product. http://www.cleansweepsupply.com/pages/skugroup22144.html
