Well, this winter I plan on removing my rear window on my 1964 Special 2 door, and I was wondering how to do it. It seems like there is a lot of rock-hard sealer in there. Any suggestions? I want to remove the rear window so I can repair the metal frame, some of the trim clip studs are gone so I'm sure I'll have to repair some rust damage. I was out there earlier this summer using a heat gun to try and "unearth" some of the trim clips and I remember the hardened stuff being pretty resillient to the heat. Of course I'd like to save and re-use the rear window, it's in nice shape.
i just cut around mine with a razor knife and used a piece of wire sawing one person inside and one outside sawing motion around the window
