I'm putting tilt column in my Wildcat. Horn wire and spring pulled out pretty easily from "cam assy". It seems unsecured if I just push spring, wire and tube back in the cam tube. It almost seems like the inner tube should be snapped into the larger tube somehow. Knowledgeable expertise appreciated.

You need to replace the turn signal cancel cam. I doubt that the broken piece can be glued back on.

I don't see a broken piece. The small plastic piece with wire slides with the spring into the plastic cam tube.

The 69 horn wire end was just a push in type . . The later years were the push in and twist type .

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

It's a "friction fit", nothing "locks it" in place. You could "build it up" the inner tube (wire side) using some clear nail polish, just one coat, and let it dry for a day or two.. Since most polish has acetone as a volatile vehicle, it needs to flash off so you don't end up gluing it together.

That's a terrible design. I never saw one like that.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I found this piece at my local o'really's in the blister packed "Help" section, or whatever they call it these days.

Although I think my springs are messed up...
