I just sold a boat engine on e-bay and it needs to go from the Detroit area to Billings Montana. How do I go about finding a trucking company to ship it. How much is a reasonable freight charge ? It's an inline 4 cylinder 3.0 Liter.

    Thanx, Jay

I would try Roadway first they have the cheapest shipping...I shipped a rearend from Marinette Wi to bronx NY for $120.00... 1-715-732-0547 ask for a terminal near you... They have a 1-800 number but I cant find it try www.roadway.com ? Hey that works!!! You may have to put it on a pallet and get it to there dock or they can come pick it up for a fee.. Good Luck... :Smarty:

I tried that but the wheelchair lift on the bus broke :Do No: I tried telling the bus driver it was my overweight father that lost his legs in a chainsaw accident and he said "DAMN HE"S HEAVY AS A CAR MOTOR" we don't have a lift to accomadate 635 pounds  you can imagine the look on my face

How's that for a load of ****? :spank:  :beer

    WOW it weighs that much?
Greyhound is cheap for some items but weight is a big factor.

[Duct tape a large suite case around it.]

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

All automotive things I've shipped were class 85.

Check out www.freightquote.com - they're quite reasonable. Shows you all the major companies quotes.

I know it's hard to believe a 4 banger could weigh that much. I got the weight right off Mercruisers web site.
