I'm working on a hood project for one of my cars and I have to put 2 hoods together to make 1 good one. Sucks, but thats the way it is. Anyway, I am wondering how i should go about separating the skin from the frame where the factory puts the globs of adhesive that keep the skin from vibrating.. I don't want to screw the skin up because it is in nice shape.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks

I used a putty knife. Real slowly.

Maybe use some propane to heat the knife slightly? I'd certainly avoid heating any part of the hood at all costs.
