I was wondering how were the radiator tags marked on our cars? Since my car is a Stage 1 without A/C,would an Oldsmobile 442 with a 3 core radiator(and no A/C) have the same code? The reason why I'm asking is because I would like to try to get one of these tags for my car. Anyone here have one to sell?If so,I would really be interested.

    Thanks guys! :TU:

They were marked on the right lower tank in a visible spot.

With two yellow dots side by side 1/2 in apart of equal size.
Then right under them close to 1in away. Make a wide U shape but flattened out more like a bowl. :)

    Tag

My car has a metal tag that was attached to the radiator itself, on the passenger side tank. Not sure how it reads, but i am fairly sure it is an original. It has a date code and another no. or two on it.

    Carl-

I'll take a pic of the tag on my radiator and post it for you. As you know, it has the original tanks and tag. It's a '71 455 non-stage, but should lead you in the right direction.

Thanks for the help guys. What happened to my tag is rust had gotten to it and it was too far gone to save it(my car originally came from Rochester,NY and you all know how those upstate NY winters are to cars).
Right now,I'm getting all these nit picky details done and this is one of them.

As I said before,if any of you have a tag for my car I would really like to buy it from you.

    Thank you all.
