Hey mark. We got about 8 inches by me in Northern NJ. It was a wonderful 3 hour commute home for me yesterday. I left at 2:30pm and as soon as I got to rt80 east off of 287, I got a flat! :Dou: :Dou: :Dou: First flat I ever got in my life and it had to be on Route 80 during a snowstorm with heavy traffic! :stmad:

cray1801 Too much is just right.

Sunny and cool, only thing is you don't want to walk, park or drive under any trees :eek2: because you will be pelted with ice as it falls from the trees. Hay at least I now have power  as of ~3 pm yesterday.

We were also hit with 8 inches (I'm about 20 miles south of Ken).

Alan W - I hope your happy with finally being able to use your snowblower :moonu:

Salty roads mean the GS is 'officially' resting until spring :ball:

MAN !!! did I have FUN yest. afternoon / night :beer

Left work early, about 1:30 from manhatten missing the JamCram in Penn station by about an hour, sailed home (took my buddy 3 hours leaving 1.5 hours after me) Got home to 8" on the ground and falling steady

The 8.5 HP Techumsa started up on the first push of the electric starter:TU: and i was a SnoBlowin' MANIAC for the rest of the day. I did my whole driveway in under 15 min stopping to jockey the cars and brush them off.....then the neighbors on either side of me.....

The hardest part was getting used to changing the blower direction controls while still moving and avoiding the cars.....etc.

Even did a little more cleanup this morning....about another 2-3"

Fun Fun Fun !!! So much.....i Want MORE !!! :moonu:

Weather now in Manhatten is Sunny but nippy....lotsa slush puddles crossing the intersections

Cecil County drag strip had a test and tune for tomorrow, the 7th and next sat. the 14th. I made some small change on the wagon and figured on going. Like everyone in the north east, about 7" of snow put that brakes on that idea for this week. Hope its still on for next!

Hey Bill I hear ya. I was scheduled to hit Atco on the 7th also with Doug Hecker and John Csoardas, But up here we got 10". I was carefull enogh to keep the trailer in the clear of snow. Doug told me that Joe Sway at Atco said we could race if I come down there and with a heat gun melt the snow and then prep it and spray the track:ball: Another words "give up" it ain't happening. I'm going to collect the parts for the racecar but not take anything apart yet. Kepping my fingers crossed along with you.

As of Sunday morning about 750,000 households are still without power from the ice storm. NC is under emergency order from the GOV. It is cold and 90% are not expected to be restored until Wed. The circumstances are worse than Hugo of '89 and Fran of "96. At least it is warm after a Hurricane. Areas look like a Daisy Cutter was dropped. Shows you what one inch of ice on trees can do!

    Jim,
I was suprised at just how many trees are down here as well, we didn't quite get up to 1" of ice on them but looks like we got enough to break em! I'm lucky I didn't lose one of the pined in my back yard, my 67 mustang and 70 GS455 are parked next to it, if it did fall though I think the mustang would break it's fall preventing alot of damage to the GS

    Scott,

Those are some nice pics and some cool cars. But if you keep rubbing it in a bunch of us in snowbound states will ship a few hundred truckloads of snow to your driveway.:Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
