i'll keep all updated information for my 225 in here from now on.

in most recent news 2/24/08 i was on my way home when i decided to see if i could do a little burn out. i hit the brake hit the gas and squeeled the tires and said ahhh **** it some other time. so i started to smell smoke, not tire smoke but wood burning smoke, so i thought there was a building on fire or something and kept driving. then i was like damn this **** stinks still let me check under the hood. go to the front of the car and see smoke comming from under the hood. i was like SHIIIT! popped it up to see that the insulation was smoking and glowing red, with a big hole in the middle from it being burnt. turns out the power steering pulley somehow hit the hood and i guess started the small little fire. so i rip the insulation out and keep it moving. so im cruising along and im about to pass a car and a cab (cab was in the same lane in front of the car). the cab slows down to stop and dude decides he doesn't want to be behind him and just blindly turns into my lane scraping damn near the whole passenger side of the deuce. i was like you have GOT to be kidding me. the car is scratched from the back door to the front fender. so called the police and go the police report and everything. so i guess my insurance will get the money from his insurance? anyway may has been an interesting month for me. i'll get some pics tomorrow of the damage. it's not that bad mostly just some scraped paint but she's going to need a whole new paint job and i'm willing to bet i'll get no real help from insurance.

nope, my buddy got his bumper near torn off bent outward and insurance didnt give him anything even though the guy reported it was his fault..

hope it's not too bad and get some pics already,
perhaps you'd want a 64 lesabre too? lol

yea they only gave me 1100 bucks. i think that will cover the cost of putting the bumper back on lol. the damage is very minor. mostly some scrapes but you can't match oxided paint.

Well, think of this as an oppurtunity to get the whole car re-painted.

a pretty good quality job will run about 2800-3000

that's about an 8...10 being show, 4 being the cheap paintjobs that you would only consider to sell a car lol

WHERE THE HELL IS THIS?!?!?!? we talking door jams, trunk, taking moldings off (which i would probably do), hood etc? the 64 is a beast of a car and it has a couple of dings too. i would have my car in the shop yesterday if i could find that deal and have good looking paint job lol.

well the 64 deuce project came to a conclusion the other night. i was doing 30 and going straight while i had the green light. a woman decided to turn right in front of me in her land rover coming from the opposite direction. she was arrested and i have the police report and a witness. i'm just glad i'm ok. i'm very lucky i saw it coming or i would have been hurt up pretty bad. i have a headache and am a little sore on my face arm and knee but, that's it. i just hope i can get the money to pay off my loan and such.

Reminds me of my accident about a year ago, not a fun moment, glad to hear you are ok. Its those women drivers, they are dangerous.

ACK! What a shame. Go get checked out thoroughly even if you think you are ok. Hopefully she has insurance. How bad did her car look (just for the morbid voyeur in me).
