The bearing travels on a special adjustable sleeve screw which allows over .650" travel for any pressure plate combination. This unit is a necessity when you have a marine or late model block without any cross shaft ball provision. The collapsed release bearing inside the bellhousing on the front of the transmission throw out bearing collar is 2.850" from the front of the transmission to the front face of the release bearing, it is 2.950" inside the bellhousing.
