Someone finally makes a complete new shell for 69 Camaros.. I just saw the add in the new hotrod mag I bought, and could not believe it, its endorsed by GM, and its from teh firewall back, with the doors, HArd top or vert. 13,500.00 There goes the value on those cars, I am POSITIVE they are not gonna be flooding the market with that now. I thought the full fiberglass bodies were bad enough, but now OEM replacement shells.. Everyone will have a rust free RS/SS now..
"Kit Cars" They are considered a "kit car" and are titled as such. Unless someone illegally swaps GM VINs to these bodies. In the "Christine Camaro" Wrecks to Riches" episode if the best Camaro they can find is $6,200.00 rust bucket, I think there will be great demand for $13,500 rust free ones. In the end I dont care. Flood the market and make Buicks worth more.....and then again....if the prices could fall far enough, I would even buy one of these "Kit Cars" and Buick power it! :Brow:
There might be a few rusty "kit cars" ending up in the scrap yard.... :laugh: I think it was Year One tried to build a Camaro strictly out of catalogs. They came pretty close and only had to buy a few original items.
YO did build a convertible and its on their showroom floor. I think it is black. I think the really rusty cars just went up in value. I just saw the shell displayed at the GM restorations semi this weekend at the Back to the 50's car show in St. Paul MN.
