I have been lurking over at the turbo Buick board, and I came across a high mileage '87 T for sale. The guy needed to sell quick because he was moving from upstate NY down to my neck of the woods. I talked to him, we made a deal and he delivered it to my house this morning:grin: All I need to do now is sell the Vette so I can build this car into a 10-second car to replace it....
Looks good NJVetteguy. Or shall I say NJTurboguy? BTW, whats with the two little hood scoop/vent thingys?
Unless I miss my guess......those look like GNX fender louvres installed in the hood! Or maybe Trans Am hood louvres? And are those 84-85 GN wheels I see? Or the light playing tricks on my eyes? I always wanted to do that on my "T". Either paint the inset areas on my stock wheels gray like the rest of the car, or buy some 84-85 GN wheels and paint gray over the black. Anyway, looks good. Good Luck!:TU:
Nice ride! Sweet ride ! Good luck!:TU: That looks like the first Turbo Regal that I rode in. It was my Buddy's car and I laugh at him when he told me it was a V-6 and fast,Well my jaw hit the floor when it hit the hammer on it:jd: ! Being from the old school thinking that V-6s where slow, Boy did I get a wake up call! Doing a wild burn out and chirping the tires thru the gears just blew me away!:blast: Good luck with her! Don
You hit it right on the head, they are GTA hood vents cut into the hood. I'll be replacing the hood with a 'glass one so I wasn't too worried about it. The car is mostly stock, rebuilt trans w/3k stall, dutt neck intercooler, hooker super comp headers and stock turbo. The car has 130k on it, but since I paid only $4k I can't complain. The car even has the original module and coil pack:shock: Bucket/console car with a new headliner, everything seems to work but the A/C needs to be charged. I have someone who may be interested in giving me his '86 GN and taking over the loan on the C5, so there might be one more on the way. I have already talked to a friend who has a 9-second '87 GN, he has a bunch of extra parts that he'll let me pick up cheap(ported champion iron heads, big turbo, front mount IC). Turbo stuff is addictive, I just need to make sure my GS doesn't get neglected in the interim. NE guys, I'll have this car at E-town in a few weeks for the Buick day, and if I get the '66 sorted out I might let my girlfriend drive that one down.
When When is Englishtown having a Buick day? This is the first I heard about it. Could you give me more info on it? Thanks, Don
Artie, The car looks real good :3gears: I'm glad that you got the car. Plus it is good to see you back on V8 Buick. Did you ever call about that other T Type in the paper? I see it is not in the paper anymore. Also, the guy is supposed to pick up the Chevy early next week. So it looks like the timing on the 66 will be perfect. Give me a call and I will come up and help you with the GS. If you call on Weds. I will not be around. I will be on my one day vacation down at Seaside. Of course every time I plan a trip to the beach there is a hurricane ou: . My last 3 to 5 trips to the beach was a disaster (every time a hurricane). It even happened on my honeymoon cruise 3 days after 911. My luck tomorrow it will come closer to Jersey than they are saying. Good Luck with the car Jerseysky66 Bob

Since you will sell the Vette, does this mean your gold chains will be available for purchase too? :Brow:
