    Can someone tell me where are the letters located for the Engine Code on my BBB. Eng#1231738, Heads#1237661. Also where would the #'s for the model of carb be located?Thanks Dan

    Engine code is stamped on the block, between the #5 and #7 spark plugs.

    Carb #s are stamped vertically, on the drivers side of the carb along the back edge.

    Is this combination a favorable engine to start with to build a 1970 Stage 1, with some head work and alum. manifold ?
