I would like the movie version when you get a chance. Unless you know where I can buy the sound track. The movie has been a cable channel here almost everday lately and I keep on watching it.

There is an album that came out some years ago I think it was called something compilation with a lot of screwy songs. One was a trucking song that went ...".and I don't give a f*** so I'm off to the rodeo." And the ever popular "Were you born an ass**** (the ass**** song?)cause you're an ass**** tonight, and someone told me you got an ass**** for a wife!'......GOOD STUFF!!!!

    "The Rodeo Song"

That one was called "The Rodeo Song" (duh) and it drove me nuts. I hated that thing! Thanks alot....now it'll be stuck in my head all night!!

Yeah, Convoy was never up for an Oscar, that's for sure, but it and the song were big favorites of mine as a kid, too. I've still got the 45 record. And I did dream of being a trucker...built many model trucks when I was in school, which are still on shelves in my son's room....can't bring myself to get rid of them.

And I was a trucker, too, for several years. You see some really funny s*** out on the road. Every day was an adventure.

Alright, I'm going to fan the fire just a wee bit here.

Did anyone know that "Convoy" hes been re-done by the Canadian artist, Paul Brandt?

The kicker is that when he shot the video, he used a truck from Paul Brandt Trucking, (no relation), who are based just outside my home town.

Here is a link to an article in a trucking magazine:

And yes, I'm a Professional Trucker, who is also a Professional Trucking Instructor. (But I don't do Country music  )

Ahhh yes! "The Rodeo Song" was the name of it..."Well it's 40 below and i don't give a f***, got a heater in my truck and I'm off to the rodeo". Ha ha, this song was pretty funny, one of my fraternity brothers and I went and bought this song one day at a record store close to campus at OSU to play at a big party we were having that night, it went over pretty well and all the drunk chicks dug it!
