Thought I would post an update here. We are getting close. The 440 came back from the machine shop ready to go. I got to do some small part restoration along the way.

I’ll be dropping the motor in this week and bolting things back up to start it and break it in. We also have the trunk pan almost wrapped up. 7DA580FF-D52D-4818-A583-BB4F11C28E81.jpeg F9A41296-96F8-4FA8-8820-36015B35984A.jpeg 34E60D17-7CE0-4AAC-A879-A2B5E1C64B9B.jpeg 79BAD736-5984-4324-B2DF-41B1A4E5CBD5.jpeg DB952C17-3218-4CBA-834F-4B31B11BBC02.jpeg 5EC6B793-938F-49F7-8730-0D3D3AF59473.jpeg 90368E28-E293-428A-A277-190B8C58EA97.jpeg E72E5A14-ED7B-4702-BCA2-21C02EF25623.jpeg

Looking good, what did you use on the exhaust manifolds?

Thanks Taulb! I used eastwood’s cast iron paint. They had great reviews for durability and fillling pits. We’ll see how they hold up, but the driver side manifold was heavily pitted and I’m really happy with the finish.

Nice! I was going to flip a coin between the Eastwood and KBS manifold stuff. Keep up the good work, I would switch to the dark side for that car too haha.

Finally warm enough to get back to it. Engine gets dropped in this weekend. The hold up was waiting for the flywheel to get resurfaced and a new ring gear- we received the wrong size ring gear 3 times.

Shawn and Taulb can attest- the Best builds are fueled by yeungling.

Thanks for the kind words. While I have a soft spot for the charger, I’m itching to get my pro touring build started. There will be another Buick in my near future.

Edit: forgot to include the pic... maybe one less yeungling. 7D43C453-CEA1-4F79-A51E-51D7D016BBA6.jpeg

Well, the charger left the nest today. Going to an awesome collector and an even better guy. I’m honored to have the opportunity to bring this car back into the main stream.

This car has given me the chance to put a down payment on my house with a 3 car all Buick garage. Time to finish the other projects!
