I know it's true, but it's still kinda depressing to see it in print...

    i think a lot of it is availability. if, back in my day [ mid to late 70's] all i could get to drive that i could afford and was plentifull were "ricers" that is what i would be most familar with. as it was i grew up when i could afford my 69 le mans, 71 montego, 68 skylark, 72 cutlass, 71 skylark, 66 impala, yadayada. back then they were just old cars with some cool, while the real classics were the 57 chevies. but when my parents were in high school 57 chevies were just old cars. who is to say what will be the classics these kids think of vs. what are just old cars with some cool [to all you GN fans]. who knows what will be classic in 20 years? if we will even be driving cars at that time!
