I was cleaning the diff cap from the posi rear I recently found. I clean it real good with something that looks like a shaved steel ball, and it gets off all the dirt, grit, and paint. But for some reason the numbers someone once wrote on the bare metal won't come off. It's pretty cool to think about how someone grabbed a marker and scribbled 342 some 34 years ago.

I like looking behind the seats of old cars and finding stuff. Reciepts, money, lots of crap, and other interesting tidbits.

Oh, and when you clean the frame and find numbers on it, that's always cool too!

He he.. the steel balls.... They come from the 99 cent store in a package of three. The best heavy duty remover I've found so far, and they don't scratch the surface.

I didn't know what to call them, I thought "shaved steel ball" was pretty good.
