I know this has to do a little about the frame and stuff. But does anybody know where i can get new bolts or a bolt kit for a 1970 Stage 1 with 28,000 original miles but stored bad do its a little rusty. When i was taking a part my car some of the bolts broke in half like the ones that connected the bumper to the frame. And what about bolts for the body, inside and stuff like that. I have bagged and tagged all the bolts that i have taken off just in case. But i would like to go with new hardware because of old rusty bolts. I know they can be cleaned up and stuff but i prefer new bolts.

How accurate do you need to be? Bottom line is, a bolt is a bolt. Almost every bolt on the car, with a few exceptions, can be functionally replaced with hardware store bolts. If you are looking to go concourse, you will need to find original bolts for almost everything. Factory bolts have manufacturer markings on the heads, which need to be correct for concourse. Very few "original" bolts are reproduced, mostly only if they interchange with Corvettes.

    Try Chevelle Bolts

A great source is Ground Up Restorations. Their website is www.ss396.com. I think you'll be very pleased with what you see.
