Nice. Good for you. Covid took my job of seven years. Time to do my own thing.

That's weird Ronnie, because this morning I was just thinking we hadn't heard from you for a while. Glad to hear you and yours are well, and the biz' is going ok.

Im trying to get a little cottage industry going too; just enough that an old cripple like me can handle. Thinking about "cottage furniture" like Adirondack chairs for enjoying beer watching the sunset on the lakes up here. Still have all 12 fingers; keepin' them crossed... ws

Pressure washing is hard work .. i have a powerful machine & hydro scrubber.. I quickly realized I didn’t like doing it.. especially for people who had dog Dukie on the patios i.e. residue it made like a gravy when you pressure wash it yuck.. I put an ad on Yelp had a year contract .. I didn’t renew it but I’m still listed and don’t have to pay. My phone rings all day .. I just try to pick out the easy jobs and don’t get tangled up in the top ones

Your actually at a good age for striking out on your own, your mature enough to know stuff, but not too old to talk yourself outta it.
    Good for you!!

    Ditto, so true.
I started my self employment at age 41. My only regret is wish I started a titch earlier. I think age 34 would have been perfect if maybe even a little too young. Learn from your mistakes!

    Go get em!

Ive been on my own off and on since 31. Heck if ya wanna count selling weed it was 20. started this business in 05 and so far its been the best for income producing (except for the weed). Now Im looking at selling / retiring in the next few years. I wont be the guy that sits still and rots. Probably find another venture to occupy my time.

Ronnie if you have any campgrounds or trailer parks around they can be a good place.....I get like 100 a camper in the spring and don't even own that type of business.

After being self employed for 20+years now, it and be the most rewarding and stressful job at the same time. ....I love being able to schedule customers around my family needs.

    Best of luck

    Update guys.
The business is growing and I had to sell my 1500 because I out grew it. I'm cleaning solar panels now too.

The people I do work for love me and I'm always getting tips. The hardest thing is trying to find a good worker right now with edd lol

I changed my logo and rebranded everything. New uniform on the way. New marketing looks really nice too.

You will brother. Emplyees are fun;). Unfortunately they're also essential if you can manage the growth. Some can and some cannot. Otherwise you own a job. Many guys who hire them find they make less w/a lot more headaches and many are successful at it. I wish I knew the formula.

Don't employees say the darndest things hahaahhaa.

I've had some crazies. I had a really good worker once and he was the best. The very next day there was more work and he canceled that night

Dogs & (many if not most) employees are like children that never grow up. I have had some good ones and tbh I'm a lousy manager but...

I hired guys for 1 summer. Made more gross than ever before but ended up with less net. The next season I went back on my own. Netted more and ended up cleaning up after those guys for the next 3 years
